We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations, who thrives in an end-to-end role - from early-stage design and simulation to hands-on experimentation and cross-team project oversight. You’ll be our go-to expert across the mechanical engineering stack, combining analytical thinking with practical execution, and playing a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance under various conditions. This is a key position for someone who enjoys working across disciplines, shaping core technology, and bringing bold ideas into the real world
Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform FEM analyses across thermal, dynamic, vibration, and impact scenarios for small-form-factor consumer electronic devices designated for the mass market
- Drive mechanical design while conducting simulations to evaluate the structural integrity, reliability, and durability of designs under real-world conditions
- Design and conduct mechanical experiments and validation tests to inform and verify models
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including electronics, software, and product design—to ensure optimal integration of mechanical components in the overall product architecture.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance across R&D projects, ensuring mechanical rigor in decisions throughout the team
Qualifications:
- B. Sc. or higher degree in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and FEM simulations
- Proven experience in performing FEM analyses, including thermal management, dynamic simulations, vibration analysis, and drop-testing.
- Familiarity with the design and manufacturing of small consumer electronics devices is highly desirable
- Thrives working in a dynamic environment with new problems, fast paced projects where out-of-the-box thinking is required
- A team player, able to work in large, multi-disciplinary teams, with strong interpersonal communication skills
