Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NPI Team Leader to join our growing team. You will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team in the development and build of a production line for a product and its sensors. This role requires expertise in micro assembly techniques and the integration of complex systems. You will be responsible for building the NPI team, ensuring the timely and successful launch of the new product while adhering to all quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive NPI plan for the new sensor product
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and other personnel
  • Manage the project budget and schedule
  • Design and build the production line for the sensor and the whole product
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures
  • Integrate the sensor into the full product
  • Conduct testing and validation of the finished product
  • Identify and resolve production issues
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the production process
  • Mentor and train team members
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in and outbound 
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in micro assembly, sensor integration and full product manufacturing

 


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in new product introduction, ideally in the microelectronics or sensor industry or full product manufacturing
  • Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong technical skills in micro assembly techniques and sensor integration
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Experience working with leading EMS and contractors 
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for the consumer industry
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and track progress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
