Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly collaborative NPI & Configuration Specialist to lead coordination, documentation, and change management processes that support successful new product introductions (NPIs). In this role, you'll ensure product data is accurate, accessible, and aligned across teams, while maintaining rigorous control over engineering changes, product configurations, and lifecycle transitions. You'll play a key role in bridging technical and operational functions to enable scalable, compliant, and timely product launches

Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional coordination with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales to support NPI timelines and organizational readiness
- Own the configuration management process, ensuring accurate tracking of item masters, part numbers (PNs), BOMs, product structures, specifications, drawings, and compliance documentation
- Manage end-to-end change control, including creation, review, approval, and implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Document Change Orders (DCOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), deviations, and revision control
- Administer and optimize PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Agile, Windchill), ensuring data integrity, clean records, and providing user training and support
- Develop and enforce configuration standards and governance aligned with industry best practices (e.g., CMII, ISO)
- Collaborate with project and program managers to track NPI milestones, manage risks, and support go-to-market strategies
- Drive continuous improvement of product data management processes and tools
- Ensure full traceability of product changes across the entire product lifecycle—from concept to mass production
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field (Master’s or certification in Configuration Management is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in NPI, configuration management, or product lifecycle management within a hardware, manufacturing, or technology environment
- Strong experience with PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Agile, Windchill, Teamcenter)
- Deep understanding of BOM structures, change control, and product data governance
- Familiarity with relevant standards and methodologies (e.g., CMII, ISO 9001, AS9100, ROHS, REACH)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional, and dynamic environments
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive)
- Exposure to ERP systems and integration with PLM platforms
- Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
